Program Against Malnutrition
Program Against Malnutrition (PAM) is one of the leading local Non-government Organizations in Zambia that focuses on food security and nutrition. It operates throughout much of Zambia and is a leading partner with the Ministry of Agriculture and helps distribute food-security packs and better farming skills. Wildlife Conservation Society developed a formal relationship with PAM in 2006 to help replicate the COMACO model in three new Districts in Zambia and continues to collaborate with WCS on its efforts to establish trading centres in these three Districts. If this partnership proves successful, it is hoped the COMACO model will expand to new regions in Zambia under the joint management of these two organizations.
