US Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS)

USFWS has supported COMACO both financially and technically with periodic visits to Zambia to assess its progress and development. Under its Elephant Protection Fund, USFWS provided financial support for the development of the Poacher Transformation Program and helping COMACO pilot the use of solar-powered electric fencing to exclude wildlife animals from community farms and granaries. Additional support also helped WCS to conduct its baseline aerial wildlife census surveys.
